Processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals from MSW
ITR – Recycling Systems designs and manufactures Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) treatment plants for companies operating in environmental services and in the recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metals from MSW.
ITR’s MSW treatment plants properly process Municipal Solid Waste to achieve the highest levels of recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metals—mainly from tin cans, aluminum cans, and iron from MBT (Mechanical-Biological Treatment)—while ensuring complete safety and protecting workers’ health and the environment.
Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) from households, as well as similar waste from non-domestic sources, is disposed of through organized collection and disposal services, which transfer it to various sorting and recovery centers. The ITR plants and technologies are designed to separate and recover recyclable fractions, with the ultimate goal of reintroducing high-quality secondary raw materials into the market.
The separation and sorting of various materials is carried out through automatic, semi-automatic, or manual systems, depending on operational needs, in order to ensure maximum economic return in the recovery process. ITR’s MSW treatment plants integrate several technologies, such as fixed HMS or mobile HMM hammer mills for material shredding, SZZ air-based densimetric separation systems, and SCP eddy current separators. These enable the separation of inert fractions (plastic, nylon, textiles, glass, wood), as well as ferrous and non-ferrous metals, producing a high-density, high-quality proler free from inert residues and ready to be reused in melting furnaces.
All ITR – Recycling Systems plants are equipped with independent controls for easy integration into existing process lines, along with a software management system that allows constant monitoring and remote calibration of the entire plant.
Additionally, ITR plants feature effective dust and odor suppression systems produced during processing stages, to safeguard the environment, ensure workplace health and safety, and preserve the quality of the recycled fractions brought back to life.
ITR – Recycling Systems’ MSW treatment plants stand out in the market for their high efficiency, low operational and maintenance costs, ease of operation, and immediate integration into Industry 4.0 systems.
